Michaela Hart
Professional Bio
Michaela Hart has 10 plus years’ experience in the archival profession, with a background in nursing and community development work. She is currently working as a Digital Archivist for the Department of Health and Human Services in Victoria. Michaela’s work is motivated by the long-term impact of structural violence and inequality. Her ongoing goal is to seek opportunities to blend archival practice and research in spaces that support social change. Her recent work has been around emotional labour and archival practice and she is committed to building a supportive community of practice in this space. She holds Masters degrees in Peace Studies (UNE) and Information Management - Archives & Information Management (UniSA). Her research thesis was on the role of Change Management and Digital preservation in Australian Archives.
