Karuna Bhoday is the Program Manager for the Integrated Archival Management System Program at the National Archives of Australia. Karuna works with a multidisciplinary team that are adopting an agile and co-design approach to ensure that business and collection requirements are met as part of implementing the new digital archive. Previously, Karuna worked for several years in the section responsible for the identification of national archives and developing and issuing records authorities to ensure the proper retention and disposal of government information. Karuna has extensive experience in information management. She was seconded to Monash University as a research fellow to work on the Australian Research Council funded project ‘Create Once, Use Many Times: The Clever Use of Metadata in eGovernment and eBusiness Recordkeeping Processes in Networked Environments’. She also previously worked at the State Records of New South Wales and at the biotechnology company CSL Limited.
