Elizabeth Hawkins has worked as an information professional in libraries and archives for over 30 years. She has had a number of roles at Queensland State Archives and is currently Senior Collections Advisor in the Collections & Discovery team. Her specialist expertise is in collection management and interpretation, and in facilitating the discovery of treasures within the collections. She was the main QSA representative and subject matter expert in the preparation for and implementation of the archival management system. This project was much broader than just IT, involving a rethink of the way QSA arranges and describes records.
