Dr Leisa Gibbons is a lecturer in the School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry at Curtin University. Leisa has been designing and delivering archival education at universities in Australia and the U.S. since 2010. Leisa’s research explores facets and systems of memory and identity construction. A key research strand examines the formation of professional identity, particularly in educational contexts. Another strand involves exploring the use of social media for personal and community memory-making. Previous to her academic life, Leisa worked as a records management and archives professional for various organisations including running her own consultancy working with community and not for profit organisations.
